Component Function Check

CHECK FUNCTION

1. Power switch ON.

2. Select “INT LAMP” of “BCM” using CONSULT.

3. Select “Door lock and unlock switch (lock)”, “Door lock and unlock switch (unlock)” in “Data Monitor” mode.

4. Check that the function operates normally according to the following conditions.

		UNLOCK	ON

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Door lock and unlock switch (driver door) is OK.

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

1. Power switch OFF.

2. Disconnect door lock and unlock switch (driver side) connector.

3. Check voltage between door lock and unlock switch (driver side) harness connector and ground.

   D46	1	Ground	9 – 16 V

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT

1. Disconnect BCM connector.

2. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and door lock and unlock switch (driver side) harness connector.

3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH GROUND

Check continuity between door lock and unlock switch (driver side) harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH

Check door lock and unlock switch (driver side). Refer to Component Inspection.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 5.

NO>>

Replace door lock and unlock switch (driver side). Refer to Removal and Installation.

CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.

1. Power switch OFF.

2. Disconnect door lock and unlock switch (driver side) connector.

3. Check continuity between door lock and unlock switch (driver side) terminals.
