Power Supply and Ground Circuit (center Console Finisher)

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK FUSE

Check that the following fuses are not blown (open).

Fuse block (J/B) 53 10A
8 10A

Is the fuse blown (open)?

YES>>

Replace the blown (open) fuse after repairing the affected circuit if a fuse is blown (open).

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

  1. Power switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect center console finisher connector.

  3. Check voltage between center console finisher harness connector and ground.

    - Condition Voltage
    Center console finisher
    Connector Terminal
    M204 1 Ground Power switch OFF (auto ACC status) or ON Battery voltage
    Other than above 0 V
    2 ON Battery voltage
    Other than above 0 V

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair the harness or connector.

CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT

  1. Power switch OFF.

  2. Check continuity between center console finisher harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

INSPECTION END

NO>>

Repair the harness or connector.

Console Slide Switch

Component Function Check

CHECK CONSOLE SLIDE SWITCH FUNCTION

  1. Power switch ON.

  2. Select “DRIVER SEAT” using CONSULT.

  3. Select “Console slide switch (Forward)” and "Console slide switch (Backward)" in “Data monitor” mode.

  4. Check that the function operates normally according to the following conditions.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Console slide switch is normal.

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK CONSOLE SLIDE SWITCH POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE

  1. Power switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect console slide switch connector.

  3. Check voltage between console slide switch harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

GO TO 3.

CHECK CONSOLE SLIDE SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT

  1. Disconnect driver seat control unit connector.

  2. Check continuity between console slide switch harness connector and driver seat control unit harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

Repair the harness or connector.

CHECK CONSOLE SLIDE SWITCH POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

  1. Disconnect driver seat control unit connector.

  2. Check continuity between console slide switch harness connector and driver seat control unit harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace driver seat control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Repair the harness or connector.

Check console slide switch. Refer to Component Inspection.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace driver seat control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Replace console slide switch. Refer to Removal & Installation.

Component Inspection

CHECK CONSOLE SLIDE SWITCH

  1. Power switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect console slide switch connector.

  3. Check continuity between console slide switch terminals.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

INSPECTION END

NO>>

Replace console slide switch. Refer to Removal & Installation.

Console Slide Motor

Component Function Check

CHECK CONSOLE SLIDE MOTOR FUNCTION

  1. Power switch ON.

  2. Select “DRIVER SEAT” using CONSULT.

  3. Select “Console slide motor” in “Active test” mode.

  4. Check that the function operates normally according to the following conditions.

    Down Backward
    Stop Stop

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Console slide motor is normal.

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK CONSOLE SLIDE MOTOR OPERATION SIGNAL

  1. Power switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect console slide motor connector.

  3. Check voltage between console slide motor harness connector and ground.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK CONSOLE SLIDE MOTOR OPERATION SIGNAL CIRCUIT

  1. Disconnect driver seat control unit connector.

  2. Check continuity between console slide motor harness connector and driver seat control unit harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace driver seat control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Flexible Center Storage Motor

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK FLEXIBLE CENTER STORAGE MOTOR OPERATION SIGNAL

  1. Power switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect flexible center storage motor connector.

  3. Check voltage between flexible center storage motor harness connector and ground.

    - Condition

CHECK FLEXIBLE CENTER STORAGE MOTOR OPERATION SIGNAL CIRCUIT

  1. Disconnect flexible center storage control module connector.

  2. Check continuity between flexible center storage motor harness connector and flexible center storage control module harness connector.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK FLEXIBLE CENTER STORAGE OPEN/CLOSE SWITCH SIGNAL

  1. Power switch OFF.

  2. Check voltage between flexible center storage control module harness connector and ground.

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK FLEXIBLE CENTER STORAGE OPEN/CLOSE SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT

  1. Disconnect flexble center storage control module connector and center console finisher connector.

  2. Check continuity between flexble center storage control module harness connector and center console finisher harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace center console finisher. Refer to Removal & Installation.

NO>>

CHECK FLEXIBLE CENTER STORAGE FULL CLOSE/OPEN SWITCH SIGNAL

  1. Power switch ON.

  2. Check voltage between flexible center storage control module harness connector and ground.

YES>>

Vehicle Speed Signal Circuit

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL

  1. Power switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect flexible center storage control module connector and combination meter connector.

  3. Check continuity between flexible center storage control module harness connector and combination meter harness connector.

Repair the harness or connector.

Check voltage between center console finisher harness connector and ground.

  2. Check continuity between flexible center storage control module harness connector and center console finisher harness connector.
