AUTO OPERATION
Sunroof and sunshade operates automatically by operating the sunroof switch assembly.
NOTE:
If initialization setting is not performed, the automatic function does not operate.
During automatic operation, when the sunroof switch assembly is operated, automatic operation can be stopped.
ANTI-PINCH FUNCTION
Sunroof motor assembly monitors the sunroof condition using the signals from sunroof motor. When sunroof motor assembly detects an interruption during auto operation (close or tilt down operation), sunroof motor will tilt up or open [145 mm (5.91 in) or more] sunroof.
Sunshade motor assembly monitors the sunshade condition using the signals from sunshade motor. When sunshade motor assembly detects an interruption during auto close operation, sunshade motor will open [145 mm (5.91 in) or more] sunshade.
CAUTION:
There are some small distances immediately before the closed position which cannot be detected.
NOTE:
If initialization setting is not performed, the anti-pinch function does not operate.
When the distance between pinching position and fully-open position is less than 145 mm (5.91 in), sunroof or sunshade reverses to fully-open position.
LIN COMMUNICATION
Sunroof motor assembly, sunshade motor assembly and BCM transmit and receive sunroof motor & sunshade motor malfunction signal and retained power function status signal the LIN communication.
RETAINED POWER FUNCTION
Retained power operation is an additional power supply function that enables sunroof system to operate for 45 seconds after power switch is turned OFF.
Retained power function canceled any of the following conditions is satisfied.
Front door CLOSE (door switch OFF)→OPEN (door switch ON)
When power switch is ON again.
When timer times out. (45 seconds)
REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTION
Sunroof and sunshade open when the unlock button on Intelligent Key is activated and kept pressed for more than for approximately 3 seconds with the power switch OFF.
OPERATION CONDITION
Power switch OFF.
Sunroof motor assembly and sunshade motor assembly initialized condition.
NOTE:
Sunroof and sunshade stops when the following operations are performed.
When the unlock button is released.
When the power switch is switched ON while the sunroof and sunshade opening is operated.
FAIL-SAFE CONTROL BY SUNROOF MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Sunroof motor assembly switches sunroof operation to fail-safe control when malfunction is detected.
Detected item | Judgment condition | Fail-safe operation | Recovery condition |
---|---|---|---|
Non-Initialized condition | When the motor integrated CPU detect sunroof position non-initialized condition | Auto OPEN/CLOSE operation (Anti-pinch) and Tilt UP/Tilt DOWN operation are forbidden | Initialization completed |
Thermal protection | When the motor integrated CPU detect temperature increases and exceeds threshold | Sunroof operation is forbidden |
Approximately 20 seconds or more passed then operate. (Temperature returns to normal) |
FAIL-SAFE CONTROL BY SUNSHADE MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Sunshade motor assembly switches sunshade operation to fail-safe control when malfunction is detected.
Detected item | Judgment condition | Fail-safe operation | Recovery condition |
---|---|---|---|
Non-Initialized condition | When the motor integrated CPU detect sunshade position non-initialized condition | Auto OPEN/CLOSE operation (Anti-pinch) is forbidden | Initialization completed |
Thermal protection | When the motor integrated CPU detect temperature increases and exceeds threshold | Sunshade operation is forbidden |
Approximately 20 seconds or more passed then operate. (Temperature returns to normal) |
FAIL-SAFE CONTROL BY DTC
Sunroof motor assembly and sunshade motor assembly performs fail-safe control when any DTC are detected.
DTC | Fail-safe |
---|---|
B2F98–04: Sunshade motor | Sunshade auto operation is forbidden. |
B2F99–04: Sunroof motor | Sunroof auto operation is forbidden. |
