Vehicle Cannot Be Set to Ready

Diagnosis Procedure

DESCRIPTION

Vehicle cannot be set to READY when power switch is pressed.

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM SYMPTOM TABLE

Check Intelligent Key system symptom table. Refer to Symptom Table.

GO TO 2.

PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULT

Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of all systems, and check if DTC is detected.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Perform the trouble diagnosis for the detected DTC.

NO>>

GO TO 3.

CHECK POWER SWITCH

Check power switch. Refer to Component Function Check.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO>>

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

Vehicle Cannot Be Set to Ready When Intelligent Key Is Inside of Vehicle

Diagnosis Procedure

DESCRIPTION

Vehicle cannot be set to READY when power switch is pressed while carrying Intelligent Key.

NOTE:

  • Before starting diagnosis check that Nissan Ariya vehicle condition is as shown in “Conditions of vehicle”, and check each symptom.

  • The Nissan Ariya vehicle READY set function, door lock function, power distribution system, and NATS-IVIS/NVIS in the Intelligent Key system are closely related to each other regarding control. The Nissan Ariya vehicle security function can operate only when the door lock and power distribution system are operating normally.

CONDITIONS OF VEHICLE (OPERATING CONDITIONS)

One or more Intelligent Keys with a registered Intelligent Key ID are in the vehicle.

CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM SYMPTOM TABLE

Check Intelligent Key system symptom table. Refer to Symptom Table.

CHECK INSIDE KEY ANTENNA

Use SIGNAL TECH II to check each inside key antenna. For the inspection method and how to use SIGNAL TECH II, refer to “NISSAN/INFINITI SIGNAL TECH II USER GUIDE”.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

REPLACE INTELLIGENT KEY UNIT

  1. Replace Intelligent Key unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

  2. Check operation after replacement.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

INSPECTION END

DESCRIPTION

Vehicle cannot be set to READY when power switch is pressed. (One Intelligent Key has the symptom, other keys operate normally.)

  1. Replace the Intelligent Key and perform registration again.

  2. Check operation after replacement.

REPLACE INTELLIGENT KEY UNIT

  1. Replace Intelligent Key unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

  2. Check operation after replacement.

Vehicle Security System Cannot Be Set (intelligent Key)

Diagnosis Procedure

DESCRIPTION

ARMED phase is not activated when door is locked using Intelligent Key.

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM

Press the LOCK button of Intelligent Key.

Are all doors LOCKED?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Check Intelligent Key system. Refer to Symptom Table.

CHECK HOOD SWITCH

Check hood switch.

Refer to Component Function Check.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

REPLACE BCM

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

INSPECTION END

NO>>

Vehicle Security Alarm Does Not Activate

Diagnosis Procedure

Alarm does not operate when alarm operating condition is satisfied.

CHECK DOOR SWITCH

Check door switch.

Refer to Component Function Check.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Replace the malfunctioning door switch

CHECK HOOD SWITCH

Check hood switch.

Refer to Component Function Check.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

CHECK HEADLAMP FUNCTION

Check headlamp function.

Refer to Symptom Table.

Is the inspection result normal?

Panic Alarm Function Does Not Operate

Description

Panic alarm does not operate when press the PANIC ALARM button of Intelligent Key.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM (REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY FUNCTION)

Press the LOCK button of Intelligent Key.

Are all doors LOCKED?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Check Intelligent Key system (remote keyless entry function). Refer to System Description.

CHECK HEADLAMP FUNCTION

Check headlamp function. Refer to Symptom Table.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

CHECK HORN FUNCTION

Check horn function. Refer to Component Function Check.

CHECK HAZARD WARNING LAMP FUNCTION

Check hazard warning lamp function.

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

CHECK HORN FUNCTION
