CAUTION:
When replacing the BCM, always replace it with a new one. The functions controlled by the BCM does not operate properly in case of reuse of the BCM from another Nissan Ariya vehicle.
Be sure to perform the following items must be performed when replacing BCM.
Writing Nissan Ariya vehicle specification (Refer to Description.)
Pairing of BCM and Intelligent Key unit
Register of Nissan Ariya vehicle identification number
Writing MAC key (Refer to Description.)
Tire pressure sensor ID registration
REMOVAL
Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal. Refer to Precautions for Removing Battery Terminal.
Remove the glove box assembly. Refer to Removal & Installation.
Remove the BCM mounting nut , then pull out the BCM
.
Disconnect the harness connectors from the BCM and remove.
INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION:
Be sure to perform ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING BCM when replacing BCM. Or not doing so, BCM control function does not operate normally. Refer to Description.
REMOVAL
CAUTION:
Never reuse combination switch. Always replace it with a new one when it is removed.
Remove steering angle sensor. Refer to STEERING ANGLE SENSOR : Removal & Installation.
Disconnect harness connector from combination switch.
Remove the combination switch mounting screw
.
Pull out the combination switch by moving it alternately on the right and left side.
INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION:
Never reuse combination switch. Always replace it with a new one when it is removed.
Insert the combination switch so that the protrusion of the combination switch
and the cut-out
of the steering column
match together.
NOTE:
Perform steering angle sensor neutral position adjustment when steering angle sensor is removed and installed, or replaced. Refer to Work Procedure.
