DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1. Power switch ON.

2. Operate sunshade switch to any position.

3. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “BCM” using CONSULT.

4. Check DTC.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

Diagnosis Procedure

REPLACE SUNSHADE MOTOR ASSEMBLY

Replace sunshade motor assembly. Refer to Removal & Installation.

DTC Description

NOTE:

When the power switch is turned ON, the DTC may be detected. If it has been detected due to previous error/operation, erase the history once and check if the DTC is detected again.

When DTC "B2F98-95" is displayed together with DTC "B2F98-04", perform the diagnosis of DTC "B2F98-04" first.

Is applicable DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Description.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK SELF-DIAG RESULT

With CONSULT

1. Power switch ON.

2. Perform “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “BCM” using CONSULT.

Is DTC detected?

YES-1>>

CRNT: Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

YES-2>>

PAST: GO TO 3.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

CHECK OPERATION

Check that sunshade operate properly.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

INSPECTION END

NO>>

CHECK DTC PRIORITY

When DTC "B2F98-95" is displayed together with DTC "B2F98-04", perform the diagnosis of DTC "B2F98-04" first.

Is applicable DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Description.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK SUNSHADE MOTOR ASSEMBLY POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT

Check sunshade motor assembly power supply and ground circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

CHECK LIN COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT

Check LIN communication circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace sunshade motor assembly. Refer to Removal & Installation.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

CHECK SUNSHADE FUNCTION

Operating sunshade switch and check sunshade OPEN/CLOSE operations.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK COMMUNICATION SIGNAL

1. Power switch ON.

2. Check signal between sunshade motor assembly harness connector and ground with oscilloscope.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace sunshade motor assembly. Refer to Removal & Installation.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK COMMUNICATION SIGNAL CIRCUIT

1. Power switch OFF.

2. Disconnect sunroof motor assembly connector and sunshade motor assembly connector.

3. Check continuity between sunroof motor assembly harness connector and sunshade motor assembly harness connector.

4. Check continuity between sunshade motor assembly harness connector and ground.

Replace sunroof motor assembly. Refer to Removal & Installation.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

Lin Communication Circuit

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK BCM OUTPUT SIGNAL

1. Power switch ON.

2. Check signal between BCM harness connector and ground using an oscilloscope.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK LIN COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT

1. Power switch OFF, and then wait for 1 minutes with driver door open.

   NOTE:

   • Even after power switch OFF, power is supplied to accessories for a certain amount of time by the AUTO ACC function.

   • When Nissan Ariya vehicle is operated while on standby, power may be supplied to accessories.

2. Disconnect following connectors.

   • BCM

   • Power window main switch

   • Front power window motor (driver side)

   • Front power window motor (passenger side)

   • Rear power window motor RH

   • Rear power window motor LH

   • Sunroof motor assembly

   • Sunshade motor assembly

   • Passenger door mirror control module

   Connecting parts other than power window.

3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

   BCM		—		Continuity

   M8	24	Ground		Not existed

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK LIN COMMUNICATION SIGNAL

1. Power switch OFF, and then wait for 1 minutes with driver door open.

   NOTE:

   • Even after power switch OFF, power is supplied to accessories for a certain amount of time by the AUTO ACC function.

   • When Nissan Ariya vehicle is operated while on standby, power may be supplied to accessories.

2. Disconnect following connectors.

   • Power window main switch

   • Sunshade motor assembly

   • Passenger door mirror control module

3. Power switch ON.

4. Check signal between power window main switch harness connector, all power window motor harness connector and ground using an oscilloscope.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

INSPECTION END

NO-1>>

Sunroof motor assembly: GO TO 4.

NO-2>>

Sunshade motor assembly: GO TO 5.

CHECK LIN COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT (SUNROOF MOTOR ASSEMBLY)

1. Power switch OFF.

2. Disconnect BCM connector.

3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and sunroof motor assembly harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

INSPECTION END

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK LIN COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT (SUNSHADE MOTOR ASSEMBLY)

1. Power switch OFF.

2. Disconnect BCM connector.

3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and sunshade motor assembly harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

INSPECTION END

Repair or replace harness.
